Hi, I'm Miles.
Engineer. Tutor. Problem Solver.
I'm the founder of Henry STEM Tutoring, a former university math tutor, and a Computer Engineering graduate from Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. I have a strong passion for making difficult mathematics easier to understand.
My approach focuses on finding where the confusion begins. From there, I break concepts into clear steps, build understanding through targeted practice, and help students become more confident solving problems independently.

Engineering Meets Education
I've always enjoyed math, problem solving, and figuring out how things work. That interest eventually led me to study Computer Engineering at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University, where I developed an even stronger appreciation for logical thinking and breaking complex problems into manageable steps.
While in college, I also had the opportunity to tutor mathematics and found that I genuinely enjoyed helping students reach the moment when a difficult concept finally started to make sense. That experience is a big part of why I created Henry STEM Tutoring.
Today, I bring both sides of that experience into each session: the problem-solving mindset of an engineer and the patience to explain a concept in different ways until it clicks for the student.
My Teaching Philosophy
Understanding Over Memorization
Students often struggle with math because one missing concept can make everything that follows feel more difficult. My goal is to find those gaps, the foundation, and help the student understand why the math works.
I want students to leave each session with more than completed homework. They should feel more comfortable explaining their reasoning, recognizing patterns, and approaching new problems independently.
